What Electric Work Does a Kitchen Renovation Require?

While kitchen renovations require comparatively extravagant budgets, doing things from the very beginning can help you avoid overspending. If you do your homework and you employ trusted professionals, you will have your modern and fully functional kitchen without breaking the bank.

Kitchen Electric Work

If you’re planning on renovating your kitchen, the initial plan of attack is getting in touch with a licensed electrician. It’s important to see there are specific placements for sockets and wires within a house that can not be mishandled. In fact, local legislation states that anything more than replacing a light bulb in your home requires the assistance of an electrician.

The kitchen is a hazardous location. There is moisture which could impact kitchen appliances along with the sockets should be far enough away from the kitchen sink to avoid any risks of electric shock and short circuits. The precise distance depends on the size of this sink. If your sink carries a capacity of 45 lt. the electrical fittings should be no closer than 0.4m from the cover of the sink and 0.15m from the sides. Even better, you should install the fittings 1m from the cover of the sink and 0.5m from the sides.
